Discipline Procedures

Creative Kids Inc. expects children to follow the standards of behavior established at their school. Our personnel, using positive reinforcement which emphasizes respect for everyone, will fairly enforce all such rules and regulations, as well as those of the Department of Social Services and Creative Kids Inc.

Creative Kids Inc. does not remit corporal punishment as a form of discipline. If poor behavior continues to be a concern, dismissal from the program may become necessary. Most children understand the need for organization and standards of behavior, with only an occasional reminder needed. However, if problems continue, and reminders and discussions with a child do not bring about the desired behavior modification, discipline procedures may include:

1. Reasonable break period to reflect mistakes made.
2. Written reports of child’s behavior in concern book with the site supervisor and parent signature, conference with the parent and child.
3. 2-day suspension.
4. Dismissal from program after using steps 1 through 3.

As stated in the parents contract/responsibilities: Physical abuse, verbal abuse and potentially harmful behavior by a student or parent towards any child or staff may be cause for instant dismissal from the program, with no refunding of fees.

We know that parents understand and support the importance of good behavior in maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for all children.
